We have traveled to St Croix for over 25 years and we have never made it to St John. Well we are finally going to make the switch and are planning a trip for February 2010. There will be 4 adults looking for a 2 BR villa to rent. Must have great view, modern amenities, nice kitchen, has to have a jacuzzi/hot tub, pool is optional. On my list of options so far
L'esprit de la vie, Into the Mystic, Le Chateau, Mandeville and Memory Daze. Any input? Recommendations will be appreciated. Is there any location that is better than another? Which area is the windward side? Where are the best views. We are not discouraged by long rides to town etc... We always rent a vehicle and go exploring.

Congrats on your STJ trip planning. The one thing you left out is, what is your budget for a villa? Some villa agency's to look at:
www.caribbeanvilla.com
www.seaviewhomes.com
www.vivacations.com
www.bookitvi.com
www.cateredto.com
Good luck with your search, I don't rent top of the line villas so I can't suggest a villa with your kitchen option but "Blue Heaven Rendezvous" listed on vivacation is a comfortable 2-3 bedroom with a great view, hottub and is reasonably priced.

I'd choose Bongo Bongo for 4 adults.
