Add It Up - Trip Report Wrap
Great recap ifloat. As much as I've enjoyed your reports your recap was spot on!
I've planned virtually every trip that we've ever taken from forums. No offense to USVI on-line, but a blind squirrel could look like a genius on a trip by reading this forum.
Excellent observations about the villa:
Hot water is a priority with my wife. Fortunately on St. John we've always had more then ample hot water. Our first trip to St. John the views were fantastic but the road was crappy ( Calabash Boom ) . Two trips later we came close to perfection on Ajax Peak.
Like Chicagoans, I bought a pair of Keens 5 years ago for a trip to Cat Island and they just keep on truck'in.

I kinda forgot about my Keen issue. The Venice H2 work great for me:ifloat wrote:Oh I wish I could wear Keens. I tried a lot of them on but they all rubbed my foot in the same spot...in a bad way.
Geez you guys, now I'm having uncomfortable thoughts about altar boys.

The Newport H2 have a strap that rubs the back of my ankle -- the strap is way too tight, even when I size up. Same issue when I got Keens for the kids.

I look for the style with the inverted V shaped straps on the side (like the orange ones above.) Those are the Venice and they are great for me; the others don't work for some reason.
And regarding the rest of your quote and the altar boys... well this Presbyterian gal is going to keep her mouth shut!

BevM, I checked the band website before I posted this, and the sign was spelled wrong. I must have been a proofreader in another lifetime. I make a lot of mistakes myself, but I always notice the ones other people make.
Ruth, I was in St. John Spice twice or three times, and spotted you a couple of times but you were deep in animated conversations and I didn't want to interrupt. Great shop, by the way.
I miss the island.

I just found a pair without the back strap - they are awesome - I wear Keens year round to work and play - they make soe many styles and they are all "wicked" comfortable - samokachicagoans wrote:I kinda forgot about my Keen issue.
