Forumites for lunch!

Post by California Girl »

Today Bill (Bill in VA) and his wife, Sandie, met Rick and me for lunch in our little town of San Juan Capistrano. They flew into San Diego a few days ago and are working their way northward to Palo Alto by way of the California Missions! What fun! So after they toured Mission San Juan Capistrano this morning, we met at my favorite restaurant for lunch (Thanks Bill! :D). I brought my St. John Spice Painkiller kit and the bartender whipped up some island drinks for us! (I always will the Painkiller kit to the bartender.) :D

Sorry the picture's blurry, the waitress apparently didn't wait for it to focus before she snapped.

Due to your title the first thing I thought was "she ate Forumites for lunch?"

What a good time you must have had! Virginians are the nicest people you know...(And Capistranites...Capistranoids...what are you? too.)

So is Rick holding out on the painkiller regimen?

He's not a big alcohol guy. He'll have a drink now and then, but usually opts for iced tea or an Arnold Palmer. It's nice to have a built-in designated driver, sometimes! LOL!

Hey Margo...looks like your starting that "liver-conditioning" a bit early for your CAT trip! Of course, you can never really start too early!!

Cool! I have one of those designated drivers, too. They sure do come in handy. :D

CA Girl,
You didn't mention the restaurant's name? Since we get out that way often, we'd love to know. But if you want to keep it a secret, you could p.m. me.

...we're on the plane tomorrow to a beach and out of this snow!

Terry, no secret! The resturant is called The Cedar Creek Inn and it's right across the street from the Mission. You can eat indoors or out and I've NEVER had a bad meal there. They have some unique things on the menu. http://www.cedarcreekinn.com/

If you like Mexican food, I highly recommend Ricardo's Place about 3 blocks south. http://www.ricardosplace.net/ :D

Pia - That's a great idea, but I won't be on-island that much! However, anyone who wants to meet Kellee & Rick & me at JJ's on Sunday morning May 3rd for breakfast is welcome! :D
