And from the pictures it appears that you did indeed rent a car?
Teresa, honestly, we did not rent a car. We walked everywhere. We spent one afternoon walking around Cruz Bay snapping all these pictures (and of course stopping in for a beverage every now and then). We took taxi's between the airport and Red Hook and a taxi back to Cruz Views usually at the end of the evening (long steep hill up). The only time we were in a car was the day we hitched a ride with JC and her clan to Maho Bay for the day.

Gotta ask a few questions, though.

Was Cap's Place open? Noticed you had a picture of the sign.

Did you try Crazy Crackers?

How was Spiritual Rez at BB if you went?

Thanks, and sorry to be so nosy!
You're not nosy at all!

Cap's was closed and the metal gate doors were padlocked. The locals said it had been closed since he was killed.

We walked up to the door at Crazy Crackers and neither of us got a warm vibe from the place. It still reminded us of several previous incarnations of that location. We turned around and went back to the Beach Bar.

Spiritual Rez was rad! We went to see then the next night at Larry's Landing. Dangerous place. That's the night I don't remember too much with the "pour your own" drinks. :?

And where is "Find Deh Spot?"

Steve
"Find Deh Spot" is the, ummm, exotic dance club that opened in the old Mixology location.

Exotic dance club?? No way! I wonder if they're looking for any talent? I've been known to shake my groove thing once or twice. But Crash doesn't pay well....

I really enjoyed the visual tour. What a fun way to do a report.

I was also curious about "Find de spot". That's funny. I remember what a furor there was when their plans first became known. Some predicted it could be the end of civilized life in Cruz Bay (much as when the video slot parlor opened). And apparently it's been open and hasn't even gotten a mention on the forum until now. I guess it's impact was overestimated.

Friends have told us that Cap's hadn't reopened and that it just sits there as a grim reminder. When I saw your photo I briefly hoped that life had returned there. There are segments of the population on STJ who are impacted by things that most of us are oblivious to, or quickly forget.

Anyway, a nice array. Thanks.

Thanks Rick for the pics and Sweet Christine for the commentary.

I was wondering what people were thinking of Crazy Crackers.....

Thanks for letting us live life vicariously through your experiences...reminds me of all the places we have been too busy to visit! We did get to Jost this time w/ Capt. Brandi. Next visit soon come.

Thanks, Rick & Christine!
