Favorite movie/favorite song..........

I love the movie Dirty Dancing too. Did you know that they made a Broadway musical out of it? It's playing in Boston right now, and it's mostly sold out.
I thought that all Americans knew Kenny Chesney. When I started "in the other forum" there was a lot of talk about KC, and later, when I started on VIOL, he also was mentioned here.
Now I didn't know there was a Dirty Dancing musical, I would love to see it.

No, even though I’m normally very curious, I had not listened to them, when I send my reply.
But now I have found some of their songs on YouTube, and I must say that I like it very much.
When I heard JB “Here we are” I had to move to the music. I think, I like the older JB better than the younger JB.
As I said, I also liked KC, but I couldn’t find any live concerts with him.

I have still only listened to Kenny Chesney ONCE, and I LIVE ON ST.JOHN! Someone lent me a CD about 5 years ago, but I bet I wouldn't recognize any of it again.[/i]
Okay Hugo, then I don’t need to be ashamed not knowing KC.
But now I better understand, why people are raving so much about these two guys

Rather late to jump into this thread, but...
Favorite film: Montenegro /a.k.a. Pigs and Pearls
The film has been described in various ways from black comedy/drama to weird sex comedy. Whatever it is (I don't care, really), I love the film. But it really is not for everyone (believe me
). I find Susan Anspach to be a gem in this film.
Favorite songs:
Struttin' With Some Barbeque – Lee Konitz (always gives me a cool light grooving feeling, whatever that is)
Ida Lupino – Paul Bley
Dream Brother – Jeff Buckley
Am I Really Marcel? – Kevin Ayers

Not sure if this comment is regarding my post ("heads-up" led me to suspect it might). If not, I'm sorry and just ignore the rest of this.mindehankins wrote:Checked it on wikipedia and don't know how we missed it..... Thanks for the recommendation... or the... Head's up....
Wikipedia dumbly lists the plot summary that discloses supposed-to-be-a-surprise elements of the film

I can't watch the trailer from work, but will check it out at home. Too late...I already read the darned Wikipedia. They should post spoiler alerts! Still looks interesting and we'll check it out.Pickle wrote:Not sure if this comment is regarding my post ("heads-up" led me to suspect it might). Wikipedia dumbly lists the plot summary that discloses supposed-to-be-a-surprise elements of the film- so, avoid reading it (if you haven't). I much prefer the trailer: http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi732758297/ Great theme song "Ballad of Lucy Jordan" by Marianne Faithfull. Still, the film is not for everyone.
