Villa Romance

Post by JED202 »

Considering Villa Romance at Chocolate Hole for July rental. I notice it sits behind a pond and the pond is in between the back of the house and the bay. Does anyone know if this pond is an eye sore (e.g. brown water) and if it is a mosquito magnet?

Thanks!

We are staying at Villa Romance in June. There is really little info out there on it since it's so new and just came on the market in December. I believe someone told me that it's right next to Calypso Del Sol and I know there are quite a few peeps that have stayed here so perhaps someone can chime in for us. I hope it's not a mosquito magnet.

We stayed next door at Calypso DelSol this past June. The pond is not an eyesore at all. It didn't seem to be a mosquito magnet either. Villa Romance wasn't finished when we were there, but I can tell you it definately looks nice and it is on our list for our next trip...whenever that may be.

I love that little salt pond. Do quite a bit of fishing in it. I guess the salinity keeps skeeters from breeding. That pond teems with life. If you are a nature watcher, you will love it.

Here is a thread that talks bout this in depth:

Just a thought but you may want to check with your villa rental agency regarding the construction at Pond Bay Development. I do not know what stage it is in.

Hi Jed---See you've been asking about quite a few houses in Great Cruz Bay or Rendezvous Bay. You can spend a lot of time looking (we all seem to),but Palm Hill and Indigo (both of which you mentioned earlier), are both great houses in great locations. I've wanted to rent Palm Hill for several years (ever since its been built) but its never available when I'm going. Villa Romance looks very nice (new, so I haven't seen it)---appears to be good location but probably less dramatic view than either of houses above.

Anansi looks very nice too, and I like Klein Bay (we have rented 2 houses near there), but I don't think its quite as nice a house as either Indigo or Palm Hill. Latitude (one house downhill from Anansi) would be my top pick in Rendezvous Bay if its available. Just my thoughts.
