At Home with the Chickens

Post by StJohnRuth »

I am at home for a few days and I thought that some of you might be interested in a chicken update.
As of today, there were around twenty chickens in the backyard. There are hens and a rooster and chicks in various stages of growth.
They just love it here.
Meanwhile, I'm not even fast enough to capture them in a photo, never mind fast enough to capture them and take them elsewhere.
Darn chickens.

Ruth - we saw their nephews/cousins at Maho yesterday. Call Uncle Joe!

Will you be out of solitary confinement soon?

Does the forum need to take up a collection to send you guys some "butterfly nets" to catch those chickens?

Can you legally trap them and relocate them elsewhere?

Boats - So I'm reading that article about chickens that you posted, and it seems familiar, and then I come across the line: "Some people do this as a hobby, and then it goes afoul." Didn't you or someone else post that earlier? I busted up laughing again as I heard Beavis and Butthead's voices saying "She said 'afoul' heh, heh, heh."

You crack me up!
California Chick, out!

Don't know if it's legal, but I keep carting mine over to Ruth's yard.

You better quit doing that. We're installing a webcam in our backyard. We're going to call it The Chicken Cam.
