I have spent all my summer vacations going to a little town outside of Bath, called Sebasco Estates. My mom first started going when she was 3, that would be 70 years ago. We love Maine! My husbands father was born and raised in Brunswick Maine and all of his grandparents were from there too. When we retire we want to divide our year between Maine and St John!

Betty-

My parents live a life similar to your dream. As Mary Beth mentioned, my parents live on Mousam Lake during the warm New England months then stay in Florida during the winter.

I really hate it when my mum calls from FLA mid-winter and talks about the dolphins frolicking in the canal or playing cards down by the pool all the while I'm in NH bundled in three layers and praying that the ice covered trees don't fall on my house.

My parents are very lucky! Long live the dream!

We're in the middle of another snowstorm, school canceled for the past two days (we're teachers, so that's not a bad thing, except we have to make them up somewhere), tried the "Kiss of the Jumbie" last night. It tasted smooth and wonderful! We had Godiva white choc. liqueur here, so used that. Thanks for the drink suggestion, Mary Beth. We drank them out of highball glasses - didn't want to cross that martini line!
