Newbie & Hello

Post by Mippy »

Hey there. DH & I are going to St. John for the first time in early May so I'll officially introduce myself after lurking here. We're staying at Time Out villa. Pianogrl invited us to the forum meeting Sun 5/10 so we'll see you there. :D

I'm off to spin class. Gotta get in shape if I'll be in a swimsuit in 7 weeks. Eek!

Welcome to the Forum! You'll love Time Out - it's a great villa with wonderful views. We stayed there last year.

We'll be at the Beach Bar on the 10th. It will be quite a crowd. Look forward to meeting you!

Welcome! I'm a newbie too, and hubby and I are making our first trip in early May as well. This forum is so helpful! I know it'll help us make the most of our maiden voyage!

Welcome to the party. We met a lot of lurkers last week on St. John. It's amazing how many people are shy about participating.

Cheers, RickG

Gracias! This board is very informative. DH & I are excited to go in May.

I'm part of the exclusive lay-off club here in the States though according to recent news reports, we're relaxing our membership standards. It will be a wonderful break from the stressful stay-at-home-formerly-corporate-wife-but-now-overqualified position I currently enjoy. Ha!

Our favorite place so far has been Grand Turk but STJ may well come in first place. It looks amazing. We're letting our friends plan the itineray as this is most likely our first of many trips to STJ.

I'll be lurking to get lots of tips. TIA!

Enjoy your trip - STJ is awesome - and it is amazing how much easier it is to be "broke" in the tropics than anywhere else - I will I was going sooner - samoka

"stay-at-home-formerly-corporate-wife-but-now-overqualified position"

Just change corporate to managment and wife to husband and thats the story in our house...but I managed to save some pennys and wait for airline bargains and I'm surprising hubby for his b'day (father's day, anniversary, etc.) with a trip in Oct.(Staying on STT). I've already paid for it and now just saving for the spending money! Where there's a will there's a way!!!!!
