Villa Question (redundant I'm sure)

Post by slow »

Looking for a STJ villa for July. Like Choc Hole and Rendevous Bay. Steering clear of Coral Bay and anything too mountaineous because my 71 year old mother takes the jeep out by herself before we can get up. We need a pool with water views, sunset view, and at least 4 bedrooms. Recommendations?

Also someone referred to a villa review section on this forum, but I can't locate. Help?

Many thanks!

I don't know your price range but Ristaba is lovely. It overlooks Great Cruz bay (same area as Choc hole more or less)

4 bedrooms, we were there over Thanksgiving. Feel free to pm me if you want.

Actually, they have a guest cottage too, so it has 5 I think.

Vida de Mar......5 BRs each with it's own bath...right on Devers Bay (the end of Choc. Hole), pool hot tub...

It's what we decided on after a search that took way too much time!

Check out Argonauta through Vacation Vistas...great location (close to town but not tons of villas around you), great views, pool, two of the bedrooms are on the main floor. We LOVE this villa!

Villa St. John - the main villa is 4 bedrooms and can be rented without the 2 bedroom guest house. Beautiful villa, great pool and sunset views. Walk down to Chocolate Hole Bay for some awesome snorkeling. Very convenient to town.

Check out the villa St. John Passion. Haven't stayed there yet, but have passed it several times. The view of Rendezvous Bay is to die for!! my favorite part of the island to stay in. Price is reasonable too.

Hale Lani. It's on Maria Bluff (between Great Cruz Bay and Chocolate Hole) and it has amazing sunset and pool views. It's a nice villa and the ride to get there is not bad at all.

In interest of full disclosure, the bottom-level bedrooms do share a bathroom, so if that's an issue you might not like it.

It's not a luxury villa, it's more homey. Some people are looking for something fancier, but I think it gets the job done.

Hey Bill - St. John Passion was one we looked at but opted for another instead. I think we found it last time we were there, and it was right above a traveled road. I would be interested to see what people that stay there think of the road noise. If you stay there, please be sure and do a review.

Bill - thanks for the pointer - great review - I had seen the one 12/16/06 and the mosquito part worried me as I am mosquito bait. Glad to hear the road isn't an issue. May add it back to our list. Please do post a review if you stay there.
