Overnight in IAD or CLT if I am traveling alone

I might go to Cozumel in April and meet up with sea-nile and other scuba divers. It's not for sure yet, but hopefully.

Anyway, I will be traveling alone and I will need one night in either Washington (IAD) or possibly Charlotte on both ways. I have never flewn to either of these airports.

Do you have any suggestions about which of these cities that are best for hotels when it comes to price, safety and distance to the airport. Or other factors that I haven't thought about.

Karin, if you need to spend the night near IAD, please stay with me! How could you be so close and not come to see us! Bill and DJ would LOVE to meet you. I have a spare room and could possibly arrange for room service 8)

Hi Maggy!
We always fly out of Charlotte and stay at the Doubletree Airport. They have a park and fly rate and the shuttle service to/from CLT is great!

Yep, very close! I hope it works out that you can go so we can spend some time together. I'll take you to the "Cruzan Store" and you can pick whatever you like for happy hour!

How could any hotel top that. Talk about full service 5 star accommodation :lol:

Maggy,
I live in Charlotte-I would offer you a room but I live pretty far from the airport- depending on the time of day (traffic) it could be well over an hour to get to my house.

I might be able to help you if you are in a jam though, so pm me when you find out your dates! It is our kids Spring Break too, so my parents are going to be here for a bit...and then I am going out of town one weekend.

I don't even know what hotels are over there.

I'm not much help :oops:

That sounds like a great plan for my SOTB sistahs. Hope it works out for you guys. I'll be seeing Vagirl May 3rd on row 2, in the pit, at the KC concert, here in Houston. Aren't we all so lucky to have taken the chance and met each other?

Fingers crossed it works out that you get to take your trip to Cozumel and stay with Ksea.
