So I whipped out my tape and I'm hovering around 45" linear with +/- 9" height. Should be good for Cont'l next month.

I too would like to see the gypsies forced to check their steamer trunks. What I don't want to see is draconian forced checking for being an inch or two over.

Just to clarify we are good carryoners. No sideway bags and bookbags under the seat. But we do push it to the limit. Just measured the one bag it is 9 inches until ya use the expandable feature, which we do, probably more like twelve then. It barely fits the way your supposed to put it in the compartment(handle facing aisle) I stopped using the duffel a while back because it had to go sideways. I remember reading some post about that and it dawned on me that it was not right to do that. Just one more thing I learned from this great forum :D

I have one I know is legal. Just for fun, I'm thinking about getting some "stick on" tape measures and doing all three sides...
