Just booked flight! Now the hard part - finding the villa!

Post by msgcolleen »

I'm happy to say that our AA flight is booked for our yearly getaway to STJ in October!
This will be our 7th visit and have always stayed in a different villa every time. We really love a sunset view and nice hot tub. Any ideas on your favorite villa, under $2,500 that I should check out?

How many bedrooms? Do you want/need a pool?

It doesn't matter as long as I'm under the $2,500 range. (would like privacy too!)

We've stayed at Sea Scape twice and it's been wonderful. Sunsets are beautiful, a pool and a hottub, massive decking and the bananaquits love to visit the sugarwater bowl. Depends on how many are traveling as the villa has a master bedroom, living area and kitchen and a separate "cottage" that's an efficiency. If you're used to luxe, it's more comfy than that, but really cozy and livable. It's very affordable and very private. We wish you good luck in your search!

We really liked altamira by private homes for private vacations. I have done a review. The view was fantastic, the outdoor shower was a plus, the kitchen was well equipped and there was a very open feeling to the villa. There was a pool and a hot tub. I think it is under $2500 during the summer months. There was also a telescope for spying on the ships/boats that go by and the private beach across.

The location was prefect for us. It was private and it was close enough to Cruz Bay.

ALSO! I didn't know until we went out with lion in da sun that there are a trillion starfish just a little ways out from that beach. SO cool!

Altamira would be nice.

I was thinking of Nautilus (also PHPV) when I first read your post, but I am not sure how private it would be. I know folks have stayed there, so maybe they'll pipe up.

We stayed in Tesseract, which did not have a hot tub, but I really like working with PHPV and would recommend their villas to anyone.

We just got back from St John and had an amazing time. We stayed at a great 2 bedroom villa called Island Time. It is managed by Caribbean Villas and has a new pool and hot tub. It is located on Dever's Bay, a fabulous location. Check it out. It isn't big but works great for 2 couples or a small family.

Oh, I just remembered that I also like Haiku. I saw the little movie about it that was On-StJohn.com and fell in love with it. I just haven't had the right size group to go yet.
