While I wouldn't say kestrels are rarely seen here ( I see them several times a week, on average) photos like yours are rarely seen anywhere. Fabulous!
Kestrels are called "killi-killi birds" here, they've been routinely nesting at Annaberg and the Biosphere Reserve/NPS offices on Lind Point.
Got any humming bird pictures?

Well, I meant, rarely seen at the Beach Bar.

Just trying to establish a frame of reference with which most of the folks here can identify.

Hey Joshie,

Joshie! My hubby isn’t very interested in this forum. I sometimes try to show him something here, but it can only catch his interest for a short time. But when I started to show him your pictures, I managed to keep him in front of the screen, until we have seen all of them! He was so impressed!

Joshie, I hate to be a stickler, but could you remove the twig from the bird's chest in the second picture? It looks like it would hurt....

Thanks.......those are some rather fantastic pictures! Your skills are becoming more spectacular each day! Keep em coming!

Remarkable bird, the Kestrel, idn'it, ay? Beautiful plumage!
Gorgeous pics, Joshie. Thank you so much! If I just study your pics before coming, I'll be familiar with the birds we'll be seeing on STJ.
