Why Me?

Post by kmf4107 »

The long awaited departure day is tomorrow for a day in STT and then on to STJ for 12 days....but NO! Only the biggest snowstorm of the year basically arriving almost to the hour of our departure from JFK, with up to 14" of snow forecast, luckily American Airlines instituted a "storm policy" and I was able to change my departure to Tue am instead of Mon am....I had called earlier and until they instituted the storm policy they had wanted 450 per ticket to change to Tue, thank goodness that policy came early this am!! Oh well better than waiting to be rescheduled and possibly not leaving till later in the week. I will miss my half day in STT was staying at the Holiday inn, who were nice enough to waive the cancellation fee of 1 night due to the circumstances!

As a pilot once told me, "It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air, wishing you were on the ground". But it still sucks!!

That's exactly what the pilot said in November when my flight from Miami was delayed due to mechanical difficulties and they had to find a new plane.

Have a great trip whenever you get there.
