STJ reminds me of a tropical Cape Cod - laid back, big national park presence preserving the dramatic and gorgeous beaches, lots of natural beauty, boating, individuality, artsy, and independent. And did I mention the beaches?

I swear I see the same people on theh beaches here in the summer that I see there in the winter!

ONLY 4 MORE DAYS!!
That is so funny you say that. We just moved back to the Cape from the Boston area- wanted to get away from the rat race. We had the same feeling about the similarities between CC and STJ.

Samoka not to rub it in, but we will be meeting our best friend from Alexandria NH in 3 weeks at the airport. We will dedicate our first Chamber of Commerce rum punch to you.

Snow...freezing rain..wind chill factors..If I fly for 5 hours to the west, I am in a crowded, smoggy LA...If I fly 5 hours to the north, more snow, lol...If I fly 5 hours to the east, I am in the Atlantic Ocean, BUT, if I fly 5 hours to the south, I am limin' on St. John.

When your life is divided by the rain snow line of rte 128, and not one weather person can get the forecast correct until its over, then you know you need to get away.

St. John just happens to be one of those places that is simply a addiction.

Sorry to out them, but I believe our beloved patrons Ruth & Ron are from the Boston vicinity. I'm hearing about snow on Sunday.

No mention of inches yet. I just this crap! Yet it's 61 degrees at my house. I'm outside with shorts, flip flops, and a tee taking the dogs for a walk.

shomak - glad you enjoyed it - I work down the road from Loon and this has been a great season - cool breeze - we have a seasonal camp site in Ossipee - its like the NH version of St. John - we have to be content counting down to "opening day" - can't wait - samoka
