sailing day trips for a couple in march

Post by Otters »

Good evening all,

You were all so helpful on the spices question earlier I thought I'd see if I can pick your brains again.

Who's a good sailing captain for a day charter for 2 people? We'd love to give the business to someone off the beaten path, don't need a huge crowd or a bunch of niceties, just good company and an indepth knowledge of where to go that's quiet and amazing. Mr. Otter is an avid sailor with much experience in San Francisco bay, so anyone who'd let him take the helm a bit would be welcomed. I've also spent quite a bit of time on boats, so we can crew a bit and don't need to be totally waited on.

thoughts, anyone?

Thanks in advance from the Otters.

PS! I forgot to mention my birthday is March 12 and it would be ideal to sail on that day, but we're flexible!

We sailed with Captain Clark on White Wing in May 2007. It was a great sailing and snorkeling trip out of Coral Bay and nice boat. He let one of the hubby of a forumite take the helm for a while, so he is probably open to that.

Breath definitely fits the bill of what you're looking for. We really enjoyed it. It was laidback, off the beaten path and the knowledge and experiences of the crew can't be beat!

We always go with old reliable "The Scubadu" with Captain Joe. He's a great guy and the boat is a very comfortable catamaran. He'll sail to where ever you want to go. Check out his website: www.sailvi.com plus he's an awesome chef!
