Thanks Waterguy, you are correct. By shaving four inches off, it went from $120 to $40 something!! So smaller is better (in this case). Thanks everyone. I will now stop whining, and I will stop harrassing you good forumite folks. Jeeeze, you guys put up with a lot!
Good evening. Does anyone know if the 20"x20"X10' box Waterguy speaks of is a Flat rate priority box? I was assuming it was but I can't find any that size on the USPS website. Thanks so much for all of the useful information so far.

I noticed this, too: the largest Priority Mail flat-rate box available is something like 12" x 12". I'm wondering if you only get that magic $40ish rate if you use their boxes? Or is it just the weight of the package that affects the cost?
