What is a favorite island drink?

Most Delicious - Hubby's frozen concoction of vanilla ice cream, coconut rum and a banana

Which bar does your drink best? My husband is the best bartender I know ... it is hard for the bars to compete!

This was enjoyed in the pool at our house. Our style is to head to the beach early, exhaust ourselves, go to lunch then head back to the house and into the pool in the afternoon.

Most Memorable - Tang and Orange rum (gromit's concoction)

Also in the pool! All I remember was saying, "I don't care what we do for dinner but I am not getting off of this float and take care of the kid (we only had 1 at the time)." All the girls were in the pool, the guys had dinner/kid duty. We ended up with pizza from Ronnie's!

I did have a damn fine bushwacker (that's the one with nutmeg right) at Skinny's, late afternoon. ONE and I was woozie. It was the day I was mistaken for a local. It was a great day!

My favorite changes depending on where I am. My top picks are probably:

Beach Bar: Painkiller
Skinny's: Coconut Swizzle
Morgan's Mango: Hurricane Marilyn
Shipwreck: Lime'n Coconut
Sun Dog/Gecko Gazebo: Geckolada
Aqua Bistro/Tourist Trap: Drink Right, Keep Left

My LEAST favorite is anything my husband mixes up. He refuses to use a reasonable recipe and the last thing he came up with had about 2 whole bananas in it and at least a tablespoon of cinnamon and god knows what else. All I know is it was thick and brown and required chewing.

I thought of two more...a drink left/keep right on the left and a BBC on the right from Aqua Bistro. Yummmmmmy.

Best deal and best thirst quencher on the island: walk up (or jump out of the jeep) to the curb side counter at Caps for the 2 for $3 ice cold Presidente beers.
Is it still that cheap? Habit forming on the way into or out of town.

Beach Bar Bushwhacker, with legs, at the end of the night, brought back to the villa for star gazing. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh....

This was hard for me, so I'll give you choices.

Painkillers (regular or vanilla): Soggy Dollar Bar, Jost Van Dyke

Painkillers (any flavor except banana) and/or Cruzan Melees: Skinny Legs

Lime and Coconut: The Beach Bar

Strawberry Black-out Punch: Quiet Mon (do not ever drink four. Don't ask how I know.)

Blue Motorcycles or Bushwackers: Woody's

Favorite time to drink? There's no wrong time to drink on St. John. Every hour is happy hour there. My day starts with coconut rum and pineapple juice with breakfast, rum punch on the beach, happy hour at Woody's, Beach Bar, Quiet Mon (or all three, since we're being honest here), continues with wine with dinner and ends with drinks by the pool or more drinks in town.

It's not that I have a drinking problem. Rum's just cheaper than anything else I like to drink when I'm in da islands.
