and, to connect this string to the bostonite one, one of the owners is from north of boston!

there's a whole crew of people from the northshore ma area who have lived and/or worked on stj over the past few years.

Hey Lysa---Thanks for the info on the Larry's owner. When we talked to the guys in the band that we like---Spiritual Rez (see recent post)---they said they knew the owner of Larry's Landing and thats why they came to St. John. The band members are from Boston. Now I understand--its all a big Boston web!

the plan is to have lotsa boston bands down there in the near future.

there were at least two boston bands playing on stj when i was there in january.

hmmmm. maybe i should start my own band :lol: .

Yep. I've been working behind bars for what seems like a lifetime, and consider myself a better than average tipper.
So I walked in @ 5 years ago, at its' previous location, and was stone cold sober. I wondered what to tip someone, as he's not really doing much, but give us the booze to pour.
Let me tell you- by the time I left, that guy made a butt-load of dough off of me & our party.
I think I remember tipping him more because he let me tip him! :roll:
