Most like is "jmq", as our vacationing styles and music seem to be very similar and we've exchange emails on other vacation plans.
Crush would be VickiH with her carefree vacationing style, photography and wit.
Of course there are so many other great forum people that we enjoy reading about their vacations and exploits.

As far as vacation style, I think that FlipFlop and I have noticed our very comparable taste in things STJ at least once or twice. And besides, I have a suspicion that I'll be making a trip with at least one munchkin sooner than later.
And I am thinking if I work a little harder I can convince my buddy CAGirl to go with me on a trip sometime. It would be fun.
I've never really thought about having a forum crush before. I'll give that some more thought.

Thank you for the nice words Xislandgirl. I feel flattered that you like and remember my trip reports.
I’m not able to say whom on the forum, I’m most similar with. Some of you are interested in history, some in politic, some like to travel to different places and these interests, I share. But I also share interests with I think everybody on the forum, when it comes to nature, snorkelling and beautiful beaches.
But there are also things, where I feel that I’m different from most of you. I love a good meal, but I’m not so keen about it, and I will not use a lot of money on dining in restaurants. Jewels don’t interest me especially, I have some, but not many and none very expensive. Also we don’t have any pets, and it seems for me that nearly all the forum members have a cat or a dog or both.
Still there are many of you I consider as “friends”, and I would probably find it naturally to give you a hug, if we should meet each other. (I'm not totally sure what the word "crush" means,I crush ice to a painkiller, but I don't crush another person) :

I don't have any "crushes" either, but I think Linne is The Greatest and I would love to give her a big hug and thank her for being a part of this group.
Linne, your reaction to things is always so refreshing here. I applaud you for your efforts to understand the subtleties of our language and for sharing so much with us.
When you have "a crush" on someone, it usually means that you really like them a lot. Typically it means something kind of secret that you don't tell anyone about, but that you smile about and enjoy.

linne are pets an American pursuit in your opinion?
I had 4 dogs at one time and friends thought I was nuts, especially for the different breeds I had.
Now they all have several pets and I'm down to 1.
I can not think of any friends of mine that don't have pets, I can't even think of anyone that has only 1.

Thank you Ruth for your nice words
. If I come to STJ again I will come and give you a Danish hug, which means no cheek kisses, only an honest meant embrace.
I have to admit that it often happens that I don't understand fully what people are telling. You have many shortenings, some of the names you mention I don't know, or it can be an inside joke. But I'm curious, and if I see the same word many times, I like to know what it means. So thank you for the explanation about crush. This explanation wasn't in my dictionary, so again I have learned something new.
About pets. I sometimes wonder if it’s special for the Americans that many families have pets, or if the “forum people” are special. If there is a topic about something with pets there will always be more answers and readers than too example to a trip report from another country. In our circle of friends there are only a few, who have pets, perhaps one dog or two cats, not a lot of them. Perhaps is has something to do with that our houses are smaller, I don’t know.
We don’t have any pets. Both of us have been working full time for many year, we have been a lot away from home in weekends and vacations, and I don’t think it’s good conditions for a pet.
And I have to admit, I can be afraid of dogs, have had some unpleasantly experiences.
But I fully understand, why people can be happy for their pet and feel sorrow if something happens with it. Still I cannot understand, if people love their pet more than they love other people.

Sea-nile - I agree. You are probably the one that are most like me. And it's not just because we love diving and snorkeling, there are so many other things. We are both early risers, doing things fast, not too picky about things. We even have migraine both
. We really got along perfectly on SOTB trip, which we by the way all did. But I do think I sleep more that you
I so wish I had a crush on someone, but I can't think of any.
