Best place for a nice lunch

Post by wink1134 »

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a nice place to have a nice lunch. I'm getting married on the morning of May 15th (small wedding at Hawksnest) and would like to go have lunch with everyone that attends the wedding since it's going to be pretty informal (no big reception planned or anything). Any ideas on a nice place for a group of about 8?

I'd suggest the Lime Inn for a nice informal lunch. They can accomodate a group your size and they have a nice menu.

If it's pretty casual and you want the full outdoor experience, I suggest Miss Lucy's. Right on the water, STJ charm. Pete and I alway have at least one lunch there on our trips to STJ. I bet if you called in advance they'd set up a couple of tables for you. Again, this is very casual but a beautiful setting.

I second Marcia on Miss Lucy's, especially if anyone in your group has never been there. It's a nice drive and a pretty nice experience,i.m.h.o. Happy lifetime to you!

Miss lucys is great if you want to go to that side of the island but lime inn would work if you wanted to stay on the cruz bay side

I vote for Panini Beach (if they are serving lunch at that time). Nice lunch-classy kind of menu, great view and location, pretty drinks (champagne?), and I bet they could do a sweet little cake!

Hey, I got married on a May 15th (and honeymooned on St. John shortly thereafter)! I second Panini Beach, great location right on the beach, good food, nice bar, and back in November they were serving lunch...

I third (fourth?) Panini Beach if you want to stay in Cruz Bay. They definitely have lunch there, and a nice view of the water. Otherwise, Miss Lucys would be a great choice, if you don't mind the drive out there. Where will you be staying?

Congratulations on your wedding – Hawksnest is a beautiful beach. It was the first beach we hit on STJ during our honeymoon. We’ll be on-island the same time – maybe our paths will cross and we can buy you a drink.

Congratulations! We promise to leave the beach in tip-top shape - we're getting married there the evening before you!

I think the above choiced are great. I think Ocean Grill would be wonderful. We had an amazing lunch there in Nov. and I am hard to please in the food department. I love to cook and am a "foodie" It has a great courtyard atmosphere and I think you would love it. They don't have a website yet.

Thanks for the responses everyone! These are some great ideas! It really helps knowing I can get advice from people that live on or have visited St. John.
