Lurkers no longer

Post by Sailin'Steve and Peachie »

We have been lurking for a couple of years now & decided it was about time we "signed on". We leave in 6 days for our fifth stay on St. John, only this time it will be a little more special; it will be our honeymoon! We're a couple of middle aged juveniles, who after being together for 10 years decided to finally make it legal on Christmas Eve. Originally we were going to be married on St. John, but our families wanted to be with us, so we compromised & had our wedding in front of our Christmas tree with our families. Very romantic!!

For the past 4 years we have stayed in Coral Bay, but this time we'll be staying in Cruz Bay. We're quiet people & really enjoy our privacy, but are excited about trying out the other side of the island. We will be renting a car, as usual, but are hoping we can walk to most places (except the beaches).

So, 6 days and counting. Can't wait to get out of this cold New England winter!! Hopefully by the time we get back the worst of it will be over.

We're staying @ Serendip Condos. We don't need anything fancy as we're at the beach most of the time. We have always stayed @ Estate Concordia, so this looks like it might be a step or two up. From what I've read & pics I've seen it looks very nice & has everything we need. As I became a victim of the ongoing unemployment last Fall, we're trying to keep the cost down a bit. Anyone ever stayed there?

Welcome to the forum. Nice to see "normal" people join in too.

We have stayed in Serendip a couple of days. We liked it and can only recommend it - allthough there was some building noise the day we left, but it's nearly two years ago. I guess they have finished now :D .

Enjoy your honeymoon!

Welcome to the forum! I have read good reports on Serendip--I'm sure you'll have a great time.
