I think I saw more than my share of " Jumbies" while driving along the North Shore at night.
There's obviously only natural light, yet my headlights showed me the likes of which I've never seen.
It looked like dark figures dangling up & down like yo-yo's from the trees above;- there, then up & gone.
It happened enough times to freak me out of driving that way at night.
Don't mean to be weird, whatsoever. :?

Jim,
I am assuming this was after a full moon party?

I don't think thats a mystery. Don't we all have that problem?

I'm definitely a believer. The island has a lot of history. I'd expect restless spirits.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, folks.
I know what I saw, and it reminds me of that film "Moth Man Prophecies".
I'm not going to bother you too much about it.

The Jumbies always seem to be stealing sun glasses, flip flops, towels, etc. Or maybe I just get a little forgetful when I drink  NAH! lets blaim it on the Jumbies thats spookier and more interesting.

mahojim, I tell ya North shore is pitch black at night those shadows could play tricks on ya or maybe they really are Jumbies. Still prefer it better than Centerline at night Jumbies or not.

Cptn.kirk-and all,
I know what I saw, and I am rendered "clueless". They kind-of acted like yo-yo's, bouncing down and up from the trees.
Maybe you're right, and it was just late. Either that or a bunch of oversized bats. :?:
I found them on more than one trip, though, and always in the same place.
Don't mean to "be weird", but afterall,-You brought it up!
