can anyone confirm that the blue guitar is actually owned by clapton??it was in our harbor here this summer, but everyone said that it was NOT clapton's boat--he apparently has a boat called the va bene Not that he couldn't have two boats....but there seems to be some controversy over the blue guitar being one of his...???

Loria, I actually read the same thing. There also are blog entries by people who crewed on the Blue Guitar who insist it is not Clapton's boat. Then, I read a blog entry from someone who crewed on Va Bene and confirmed that Va Bene is Clapton's yacht. Google Va Bene...she's a beauty.

I did, it's HUGE! did you see the cnn piece? but i actually like the lines of blue guitar better....its a prettier boat ( to me at least!)

I'd choose Jimmy....would love to hear some of his stories. My husband is a life long, dyed in the wool, "finz to the left" parrothead. And despite him killing me with JB music all these years, there is still something about his music that touches me.

I was in St John and heard Eric Clapton was around on his boat (Mar 2006). I was fantasizing that he would bring his girls on shore to play at the beach and our kids would hook us up.
Oh well, it was a nice fantasy!

I for one would like John Bon Jovi.......he parties in St. Barts I hear.
I love Jimmys' stories and I love Eric Clapton's music so I will just swim to both parties
