Joshie~

I'm sure you know the Hawaiian toast "Okole Maluna" means "Bottoms Up".

The Hawaiian booze made from the Ti plant is called Okolehao-meaning Iron bottom.

Tender Blossom~yeah, right :P

Might as well name it Butkus.

Haven't named him anything yet.

Now daughter wants to name him Dezi (Lucy and Dezi), but like someone said..i'm tired of all the y's and i's at the end of their names.

Have to name him something soon.

Wish Jorge was around. He has enough cats to come up with something..

Come on Jorge!

How about Coqui (Coki) then you would match my two dogs Coqui and Tiki :) or you could name kitty Petra (for the Petroglyphs) but probably better to be Petro to be correct - I just always pronounce them with an "a" :)

My pets are my babies, so I name them "people" names, not pet names like Fluffy or Snowball. I have a papillion named Jonesie. The breeder named his litter after stock market terms.......his real name is Dow Jones and his sister's name is Nikkei (after the market in Japan). My hubby is a stock broker, so it was ment to be. My toy poodles name is Toby Keith. I had a persian named Earnest T (from the old Andy Griffith show) and another cat named Wendy (fron Peter Pan). This is probably way to much information. I must be bored today.

OK, named him today and it works for us.

His name is Captain Jack Sparrow :o)

As soon as I can get him to sit still I will post a picture of him.

Thanks all!

I'll probably use both Captain at times and Jack other times.

We have nick names for all our cats.

Buca was Buca Luca
Tally was Tally Man
Tiki is Tiki Weeky
Zoey is Zoey Meister

We're wierd, I know.

we also have several shortnames and nicknames for our animals. i sometimes wonder how they knoe who we are speaking to.

for ex: our yorkie is named "monkey" but we call her "the brain" (cuz she has a monkey brain), "monchichi" (i think it's japanese for monkey), "bunny" (she has big pointy ears), "bean head" (i call all small dogs cute little beans), etc, etc, etc.

when i was growing up, we had a pointer named "crackers". her actual name was "crackers, queen of the ritz". i think my mom was drinking on the pool deck when she came up with that one!

us animal lovers are sometimes a strange bunch.

Xena reminds me of someone on the forum!

(Agent99's suggestion. I had to take a double take to see who had posted that!)

When I was young, we had a cat named Freckles. Her nickname was ....Freck-o-lyn-o-mac-foo!

The best name I ever came up with was for the first cat of my very own. Her name was Puddin' An' Pie.

I had a beautiful Persian (smooshed face) named NoNose. Too cute. She weighed all of 4 lbs soaking wet.

Now I have a gorgeous Exotic named Greta Gotrocks. From the Flintstones. When we win the lottery she will have a necklace (collar) of Columbian Emeralds.

Captain Jack Sparrow rocks!!
