My rash guards came in!

I ordered two from Athleta (they are the ones that are not called rash guards, but they are made from bathing suit material). They have the little pocket in the front.

They are SOOOO cute! And not tight but very cute and feminine.

And if I am saying that right now with my flabby winter body, that is a good sign....

So happy!

So if you need one, just FYI, they are just what they look like in the catalog.

Do rash guards keep you warmer in the water, or are they just for sun protection?

I don't like mine snug, so I cant say they keep you warmer, maybe those with snug ones have an opinion?

I wear for sun protection, and it is great for St john, because you cant go around town or in the jeep without a coverup anyways.

I also think in the summer they keep you much cooler out of the water if you get it wet.

I find that they help a little bit with keeping warm--better than a t-shirt because they fit snugger and so there is less room for water pockets. I mainly wear them for sun protection while snorkeling.

I brought a long sleeve and a short sleeve rash guard on our trip in Jan. I wore the long sleeve on cloudy days. Definetly helped keep me warmer...Loved wearing them.

Thanks, I didn't want to go so far as wearing a heavy neoprene wet-suit top so hopefully a rash guard will keep me a little warmer.
