Happy Mardi Gras to you, too!

Up here in Chicago it's also Paczki Day! (follow the link if you don't know what a Paczki is :) )

AAAAieeeee, I made a big pot of seafood gumbo for the gang at the ski house this weekend. Beads, tiaras and crowns. Life is good. It would have been nice to have an island view from the hot tub, but 12" of fresh powder was good too.

Cheers, Rick

To you too. This is definately one of my favorite days of the year and New Orleans is one of my favorite places in the world. Making filet mignon stuffed with crawfish for dinner.

Happy Mardi Gras! I've got the fixings for Hurricanes, and I just heard my husband drive up to the house. Now we'll get the music going and start peeling shrimp. High holiday in this house, lol.

Just finished some red beans and rice with a cold Abita! Now we're about to finish off a couple of king cakes that I made today!

Had some parades up on Nola.com. Better than nothing!

Sheez - I am coming over to some of ya'll's houses next year for Mardi Gras. Sounds like some of the stuff ya'll cooked up today was great! Abita definitely washes things down well too!!! My favorite beer followed by Carib

I have to say, I am am glad lent starts tomorrow because I am exhausted!!!

Ron_L - looks like paczkis have alot of the same fillings they put in King Cakes. Too Cool! Thanks for the link! I never knew about Paczki Day; that is awesome!!!!

Jan - definitely, whoever gets the baby buys the next king cake :)

Ya'll take care now!
