Thanks Katie!

We do have a trip coming up....not soon enough. We arrive April 17. The boys are off next week, but we can't get down because #1 son is acting in the Mass Drama Festival competition. They have another week off in April so we're taking a couple of days on either end and going the 17th to the 28th.

Hey....about Salem....great restaurants! We are about 30 min north. Where do you stay?

It's a same day trip. I'll drive up on Monday morning and back on Monday afternoon. It's just a long drive from my house, which is about 25 minutes south/east of Providence. The traffic should be fairly light given that it's a Holiday (for some at least)

We almost had to postpone our March trip by a day. There's a fencing tournament in Wellsley the weekend we're leaving and his age group/weapon was to fence on Sunday. I don't say no to much (in the way of opportunities, that is) but delaying / cutting short my trip to St John... well that's a different story

I definitely get that. Talk about mixed feelings when he said he got a part in the play. I'm very proud of him but they practice everyday of Feb vaca so that spelled no Feb STJ trip for us. I nearly wept. The bright side is that April is a little cheaper and the water is calmer and when we get home there will be less winter and more daylight.

We can all still agree that each thread should have to mention how awesome I am, right?

I mean...I know it goes without saying, but I like to see it anyway.

I'll now sit back and wait for the accolades.

i'm always catching up on monday so here are my comments for this thread from the weekend:

interact with the people who make you laugh, ignore the others.

liamsaunt- we are literally chomping at the bit in anticipation of you TR. i appreciate the fact that you are taking the time to refine it but c'mon- we're dyin' ova here! give us all the nasty bits  .

salem ma- i lived here for a few years and loved so much of it BUT driving in and out of salem sucks. there is no easy way to do, no better time during the day to do it (maybe 3am) and the roads are always in bad shape.

pip- you are soooo funny and i bet you're really handsome too and the best dad and husband and soooo funny. there. that'll last ya for awhile  .

I try to apply similar rules here as I do at work....I try to avoid politics and religion...these are volitile subjects and everyone knows it.

Attention junkies are just that and always will be...and we all have just a little of it in us (me thinks).
Peace
