Rhumb Runners

Post by luvinsun »

We are about 99% ready to book Rhumb Runners for our February vacation. 10 WONDERFUL days in STJ! I think I've seen this villa mentioned a time or two, but for the life of me, I can't find anything! Has anyone stayed there? I'm loving the wrap around porch, I'm hoping that we'll be able to see both the sunrise and sunset maybe?

My hubby loves the idea of the pool right off the house. It seems as though there aren't any other homes/villa's close by, is that accurate? Anything anyone can tell me would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!
Tami

If its the one I'm thinking about, it is up the hill above Aqua Bistro. I looked pretty closely at it before we decided on Bay House, which has a very similar layout but is lower down the hill. I like the neighborhood and the pool off the living area. There are a good many villas in the area, so I would ask if you looking for clothing optional privacy. This is a sunrise view villa. If you are looking for both sunrises and sunsets in that area go with Reef Madness.

Hey luvinsun!

Did you end up booking Rhumb Runners, and if so did you have your trip yet? I'd love to hear your experience and anyone else's. This is one that we're looking at. Not looking for luxury and perfection by any means - just a nice place in Coral Bay (with holiday prices that won't send me into shock.) Bay House is another we're looking at.

Thanks!

I have heard very nice things about this villa.

However, you may want to check and see if there is a dryer if that is important to you. I am pretty sure this is the villa we looked at that was washing machine only. Please double check on that, though, because I would not want you to base your decison on my memory. I did look it up and did not see mention of a dryer on the sites I found.

It might not be an issue for you anyways. It wasn't for my husband, but it was for me.

One thing about this location is that there is a bit of noise from Cocoloba Center. Never a problem for us, actually a feature during Blues Fest week.

Hey Chicagoans -- we leave tomorrow!!! Yahoo! I'll report back when we get home. We are there till the 17th.

From what I read, it does not have a dryer, so we'll see if that's a problem for us or not. We bought some clothes line and are bringing some clothes pins...

We are looking so forward to this.. The house just looks great!

Stayed 3 weeks 1/17 - 2/7 at Rhumbrunners. LOVED it. It does not have a dryer but that wasn't a problem for us. Clothes dried quite nicely on the line and to my surprise weren't "crunchy". The pool is nice and gets sun until mid-afternoon. It is 100% private. ;-)
