"I understand that the Kindle also works in the U.S. Virgin Islands, Hawaii, and Guam. I do not know whether or not it works in American Samoa."
But they may be old since it sounds like this new one is 3G? Or is it multi-band?

The main product page should have more technical specs - I don't see this kind of info mentioned anywhere... well I see there is a PDF you can download (lame).
I read something yesterday that they are going to be sued over the text to speech technology in this version -
