We recently celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Zozo's at a lovely little table by the rail. It was delicious but we dined twice at La Tapa. It really depends on what you like to eat. They are both excellent. You may be able to check out both menus (probably a sample as LaTapa changes their menu every day and Zozo's has specials). I don't think you'd go wrong with either place.
My vote is for La Tapa. Good service is important to me and I have always had very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service at La Tapa. I can't say the same for Zozo's, but they do have a better view. La Tapa doesn't have a view, but it is an intimate setting that I happen to love!
We have so many favorites depending on what mood strikes. Love Rhumblines for spicy Thaiesqueish....Shipwreck Landing for super fresh and tasty grouper with curry and gazpacho. I have in the past loved Island Blues soups if the same person is still making them, Paradiso is so serene but relaxed and delicious Italian and for hanging out at home nothing in our book compares to Uncle Joe's ribs and macaroni salad. Sadly missed are Tage and breakfast at Chilly Billy but its replacement, Jake's is geting good word and JJ's does a good breakfast.
Zozo's. We sit at the upper bar and order a bunch of appetizers and drinks. Or out on the deck for the whole enchilada, watching the sun go down and the lights wink on STT. Food is excellent.
