That was awesome.

I am pretty new to the forum, and although I live here, I find so much information from forumites!!! So what if some of it is about a drunken experience?? I learned how to make the best jello shots ever!!!!

Thank you to all of you!!!

Speaking of drinking......Just where has Silver Tequila been all of my life??? 40 hmmhmm years many spent thinking Quervo Gold was the way to make a Margarita????? I'm so ashamed and I have no excuse. Thank God for that wretched Real Housewives of New York show that I never admit to watching but never miss. Love that sharp witted brunette and her "Skinny Girl's Margarita" recipe:

We do. They are just awful enough to make me feel better about myself! Not that I'm the judgmental type....much.

Judgment

Post by Bobbyboy »

Melanie, reread your thread and you will see it certainly was a judgment. Get off your high horse.

Bobbyboy - Melanie is no longer with us (I don't think anyway) as this was her last post and it is an old thread from 2007 :)

Phew, we got passionate about alcohol consumption! Almost as much as politics. Re-reading that whole thread made me really, really thirsty for a bushwhacker.

Any clue how many calories and sugar are in one of those bad boys? Do you think I'll go into some kind of hyperglycemia shock when I have one? (Been on the South Beach diet since July)

All I know is I want one. Now. In St. John. At the Beach Bar.

How's the ambulance service on island?

Am I obsessed? Duh. Ya!

I still love this thread. It's hilarious.

Speaking of being obsessed with drinking, I drank a whole bottle of Sailor Jerry's (it was a smaller bottle) on Saturday. I had only had it occasionally at restaurants, but I really like the stuff. It is better than Clipper but not as good as Black Strap. Great with Diet Coke, and it packs a punch.

If I'm not mistaken, I think it comes from the VIs too, although it said on the bottle that it comes from New Jersey...

Rick- Czech beer is awesome and cheap from what I recall- that should be a great trip. JT - proud to be a fellow MD'er- solid comments throughout this discussion. I drink a lot more than usual in St John (and will when I got to the BVI's in 2 weeks)!!!! If you want to start drinking at 8Am or too much- it's OK-that's the point- it's not about the drinking just the escape. As has been pointed out, it's an escape with very little "rules", no work, kids etc.. So to retreat into college (or Dewey Beach @age 30!) is fine as long as you aren't hurting anyone. So of course it comes up as people talk on the forum.

Well...my first post (after my initial introduction) was in an effort to find a specific style of beer on STJ.

Some folks might think that I have a drinking problem but thanks to you guys, I've found two likely sources for the good stuff.
