It's the "Off Topic" forum, not the flaming troll

From Joshie: "PS But, what I like best about your reply is that, in the list of acceptable off topics, sex no longer has the strikeouts."

I think that we should be able to discuss sex. For instance, thanks to this forum I already have learned how to sexual intercourse (I won't use that other word again) myself. That's pretty cool. I'm sure there is much more that I could learn.

Some people just have a morbid curiosity for train wrecks. I'm one of them, unfortunately. :?

Awww, c'mon inthesystem... I was ragging on myself! I really don't see what you mean. I basically said "I like to watch train wrecks" which some of these posts have turned out to be. Jiminy Christmas!!

My bad! I said I was done with this thread, but that morbidity of mine brought me back like a moth to a flame. I've really got to stop posting because SOMEONE will always take offense. Cripes! (not directed at you SJ)

SJ, it's too bad that everyone's got such a stick up their butt that no one can even fathom humor any more. Again, not a comment directed at you, but with you. See? Now I have to explain everything I say so I don't offend.

I have stopped reading the political threads because I don't care for all of the crap slinging that is going on. My choice. However, I got sucked into reading this one because I can't believe the blatent disrespect for Anthony's request   . Plain and simple.

Maho: Personally, were you & I to ever be in the same bar on STJ, I'd leave the bar. Congratulations. You win again, whatever that's worth. Get over yourself.
Don't bother replying, I'm "Outta Here".
Ah, Maho, please don’t tell me that you are singling one person out. There is more than one person that has gone too far. I know you weren't saying me . . . because I am she not he . . . I am just saying that it isn't fair. I get the jest of your post but, please, understand you could direct your comments to more than one, both men and women, left, right and center. I don’t think you would leave the bar. I am just sayin’. There have been intense feeling by all of us but I would love to see any one of you.
Linne: - I’m interested in politic and I’m used to be able to discuss it- also with people I don’t agree with

- I thought it might be interesting for “my American friends” to hear a foreigners view, and it wasn’t my intention at all to be a “flaming troll”

I really hope that people here will continue being nice to each other.

Linne
Linne, I have enjoyed your comments and you have been respectful. We certainly can’t blame you that some of us got a little too intense. Love the Denmark perspective.
Connie: I feel like I'm at a family gathering
That is funny! Can I post the hugging picture again?? Maybe not, I don't think anyone liked it.
Pete: "Some of us" don't get to decide what is "off topic." Anthony does. Why can't you abide by his wishes? (That's a rhetorical question, I don't really need your response.)
Pete,I agree that Anthony has a point. I would have never thought you would get so radical. I am not trying to offend . . . I am honestly saying that your comments have surprised me.
djmom: What I don't get is that I don't talk politics with my friends. Because they are my friends. I know I am not going to change their mind- so why argue and cause friction with people I care about?
I talk politics with my friends--my close friends. For example: My sister loves Obama. We don't try to change each others minds. We talked about the stimulus package. I think there are too many social packages added on and she thinks it is going to work. We don’t fight. I am not sure why we can’t do that on this forum. I don’t call Obama names and she doesn’t call Bush names . . . we respect each other . . . even though we don’t agree.
CG:SJ, it's too bad that everyone's got such a stick up their butt that no one can even fathom humor any more. Again, not a comment directed at you, but with you. See? Now I have to explain everything I say so I don't offend.
So true. I am not sure what you meant by "you first" when I asked if anyone was going to look for a political forum. I was asking to see if any of us want to scout out a forum. I know there is a motorcycle forum . . . anyone want to go to the dark side with me??
