Great news....we had a similar situation in St John.
On our honeymoon (in 2005), we stopped at one of the scenic overlooks to take a picture. My wife was holding our "dive box" which had our credit card, Westin Room key, drivers license and about $150 in cash, and she put it on the hood of the jeep so we can take a picture.
3/4 of the way to Waterlemon, we realized it was gone. We filed a report with the police in the event someone found it, but by the time we got back to the Westin, we had a message from someone who found it and dropped it back at the front desk (she mentioned that everything was there including the cash).
The not so great part of the story....When I went to the front desk to reclaim it, everything was there but the cash. I informed the lady that the woman who had found it left a message saying that the cash was all there, and its very strange that its gone now. She asked me how much was in there, and proceeded to go into her pouch and give me the amount that I told her (I figured she was simply going to fill out a report).
I chose to focus on the good samaritan that went out of the way to return our money, etc. rather than the secondary part of the story. She left her name - we tried to track her down but alas, no luck. If it was anyone on this board, I'd love to thank you in person.

I once dropped all my cash & credit cards, health insuranace card, license etc out of my pocket while trying on clothes at a store. I didn't even notice it until I was paged over the loudspeaker at Kohl's to go to the front desk and retrieve it all. That person was my angel cuz that would've been a stolen identification nightmare.
