I heart my iPhone

Post by Gromit »

Ok-- so I'm at James Madison's Montpelier (nicely and newly renovated I might add) this past week-end for a Leadership program that I'm involved with.

We stayed on the property at Montpelier in the farmhouses that the DuPont's (who once owned Montpelier) built for their staff to live there.

Anyway, the houses have no TV's. Being a TV junkie this presents problem if you're used to having the TV on when you fall asleep and when you wake up.

Also the alarm clocks sucked.

Anyway, I had downloaded the free White Noise app and I put that on with the "Beach" sounds-- this feature also inludes a timer which I set for a couple of hours.

I also set the wake-up alarm on my phone.

I am currently reading "Don't stop the Carnival" so the beach background was really nice to fall asleep to and appropriate to the material.

In the AM I just used the iPod feature to provide some background music while I got ready for class.

As a result I didn't really miss the TV.

The flashlight App also worked realy great for the walk back to the houses after dark. We even had a little party and my iPhone served as background music.

I know I must sound like a complete dork. But I really am in love.

If you had the iBeer app, you could have enjoyed a cold one at the end of the day.

Gromit:

I am too!!!!! It took about two weeks to get it done. It's not cheap so I made sure I liked the design first. They were good to work with. They took my pic of the "girly skull" and asked me what I was looking for design and color wise for the background. They did 3 designs for me to pick from. I would have gave them a great but their communication was lacking. Every time I send an e-mail, I would have to follow up with another e-mail or call. It was disappointing considering how much your spending.

Anyway, I am suppose to have it this week and this is what it will look like:

Too cute!! Yeah I noticed that the pricing seems to be hard to find.

But if it's custom it's bound to be pricey.

Love the colors!

My only thing with the crystals is how it would feel in my hand.

But damn, it's cute!!

Actually custom is the same price as using their own designs with the exception of the Ed Hardy which is OUTRAGEOUS!!!
