Flanders Villa? Other Villa for 7 in Coral Bay?

Post by chicagoans »

I'm looking for a villa for 2 families (4 adults, 3 kids) in Coral Bay. Hoping to travel during the holidays (Christmas/New Years) so we need something affordable -- under $6k/week would be great; under $5k even better. (Those holiday prices get jacked up.)

I'm trying to avoid something with separate pods since we have the kids. I'm fine with all 3 being in 1 bedroom. Here are some I'm looking at and would love your opinion:

Flanders Villa
Caribn Odysea
It's About Time
Sea Glass

OR... should I expand my horizons and consider staying on the other side of the island? I'd prefer not to have to drive through Cruz Bay to get to the beaches, and I like going to Salt Pond, so I haven't even looked at anything over by town.

Thanks for any insights!

How about Casa De Suenos - 3 bedrooms in main house (all interior access) and each with a small private balcony/ sitting area off the bedroom and a cottage with it's own bedroom, bath, 1/2 bath, small living and kitchen - and very close to Salt Pond :)

There is this one - Summer Wind - not in Coral Bay but a few mins from Chateau Bordeaux :) http://www.caribbeanvilla.com/summerwind/index.html

I'll keep thinking :)

Thank you Pia! I looked at those two also, until I scrolled to the holiday pricing. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to bargain much at that time of year.

The new villas are all so gorgeous, but for us something simple is fine. I'd love a pool, but it's not a must-have. I don't mind staying somewhere that's showing its age, either. (I can empathize! )

Pia good question! I should have mentioned that the kids will be 9, 11, and 13 at that point. So we don't have the same concerns someone with a toddler would have, but we still want to be nearby.

Take a look at Satinwood. satinwood-usvi.com

It's a great family villa, with magnificent views, wonderful pool and plenty of space. You could put the kids in one of the master bedrooms (which has a fun loft with 2 single beds), and one of the couples could take the downstairs apartment.

We've stayed there twice and enjoyed it very much.

Happy hunting!

Hi Chicagoans,

I would stick with Coral Bay. After much research, we are staying at Flanders Villa June 25 for 16 days (4 adults, 5 kids). I haven't seen any reports yet, but will post when we return. I don't know if that is too late to make your reservation or not. We have also stayed at Blue Palm Villa, which we loved (group of 3 adults, 3 kids) also in Coral Bay.
