I had the pleasure of meeting Ricardo Montalban at a Star Trek convention. This was a number of years ago and he was in a wheelchair even then. He was a sincerely wonderful man with a warm smile and sparkling eyes. I will miss him.
To quote Capt. James T. Kirk: "KHAAAAAAAAANNNNNNN!!!"
Why is it that every other TV show from the 70's is aired and NOT fantasy island??
It's one of those shows I LOVED as a kid but I have never once seen it since I have been "grown up"-- wondering what my impressions would be of it now.
Always sad to hear of these passings. We've lost a lot of great actors and actresses in recent months.
RIP Ricardo Montalban Watched all the shows along with the Loveboat shows ahhh memories. Now this is funny just stopped and watched Lawrence Welk the other day while surfing thru the channels and it brought a smile to my face. I hated to watch that show with my Mom and Dad but we only had one tv so ya suffred thru it now it makes me smile go figure
I also would like to see some of those old shows in re-reruns. The problem is, some of the shows are better left as nostalgic memories. I remember a few years ago getting really excited to watch Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley. I was saddened to see how stupid those shows were...The Fonz? Please.....how uncool! And to think we scheduled our whole lives so we could catch Happy Days...Maybe I'd have better luck with The Love Boat or Fantasy Island....but I doubt it.
Awww, it's a shame we will not be on STJ at the same time, CG. We could dress up.
In an effort to clean out some of my vast collection of um...collections, I finally let go of my ST memorabilia a couple of years ago. So I'll have to borrow a spare IDIC if you have one
