Bonnie, we stayed at Sunset Beach in 2001 and 2002. It's a beautiful setting. We stopped staying there because of the no-see-ums and the construction of Dream Come True on the right side. The new villa was directly overlooking the previously very private swimming pool. I've heard recently that that the landscaping had grown back up and the view down from Dream Come True was less direct. Jorge and I drove by in November and there was still some exposure.

Sunset Beach has a pool on the lower level and kitchen above. We very much prefer the pool on the same level as the kitchen due to blender drink flow. The pool-side wet bar and ice maker did not work when we were there and I have seen other complaints regarding this in trip reports.

All-in-all, minor nits for a villa with great snorkeling off the pool deck.

Cheers, RickG

We've stayed at Beach Music (when it was called Cygnus) 4 times over the past 10 years.

Our stays preceded the installation of the sandy beach. It used to be a rocky beach. I have also heard what Waterguy mentioned -- that the beach deosn't really belong to the house.

This is a solid house. Upper BR's are better than the lower BR's because they have a view. Breezes are good. Pool is OK nothing to write home about.
Solid deck furniture. Nice living area. Decent kitchen and appliances.

My only issue with this property right now is its proximity to the major construction project that is Pond Bay development. Form what I've read this construction will be completed sometime in 2010.

When it's done quiet chocolate hole is going to be more like Great Cruz Bay. I know things change but IMHO I don't want to pay to listen to the noise. Although to be fair some have said the noise wasn't an issue. However I was told by folks at the villa rental co that on ascale of 1-10 the noise was an 8 and I appreciate their honestly.

All this being said, we would return to this house (when the construction goes away!) because we liked the layout and found it comfortable.
*Another fine scatterbrained production

Stayed at Morningside a few years ago.

Liked:
- Location
- It’s one level living for one couple or two
- The pool with integrated Jacuzzi
- The views from deck
- Deck set-up (diamond shape w/pass through bar window to kitchen). This is also a great deck for evening as the lighting is very nice
- Easy driveway
- Walk-down access to Klein Bay beach and nearness to Ditliff

Considerations:
This is an “open” house – the living room, dining room, and kitchen are open areas. There is some glass but, unless you close the electric hurricane shutters you are dealing with rain coming into the open areas during a shower or storm (especially with wind or a breeze). I enjoyed the openness on villa gravity days and really liked the one level living but this openness was also a problem for me with no-seeums and ‘squitos as they love me to death –Hubs doesn’t have this problem so he was not bothered - grrrrr. Because it is pretty open to the elements, the kitchen appliances tend to show the effects of the weather. Also, the lower bedrooms are very dark.
