Great Philly flights!

Post by PSUWethr »

Wow, I booked our tickets for our May trip to STJ and was delighted to get a nonstop flight from Philly that gets into St. Thomas at 11:30AM! I will probably be able to get the ferry, get the car, stop at the Starfish, drop off luggage & groceries and hit the beach. Usually we get in a 4pm and desparately try to catch the 5pm ferry. Of course that never happens because EVERY time we get a taxi at the airport, they stick in one couple who is staying on STT and we have to drop them off first. They even put a whole Red Hook group together but we seem to always get one different person. At least 4 times we pull up to the ferry dock as the boat has pulled away! ARGH

I am guessing it is USAir because we have taken at least twice a US Air flight that got us in prior to noon.

We got a flight for June that connects through NY and arrives at 12 noon. Provided we make our connection and everything goes smoothly that is the earliest we've ever gotten in. I am pretty excited!

What dates will you be there? We're planning May 9-23 and have been tracking that flight but haven't booked because I was hoping it would come down in price - just a bit :)

Hope to meet you at the Beach Bar!

Sorry, yes it is USAirways. We are coming down from May 9 to the 16th. Unfortunately my hubby can only get a week off at a time and he won't let me fly with our daughter alone after USAir stranded her & I in Charlotte last year.

Anyway, if anyone is on island that week, we can hook up. We are staying at Pink Horses in Coral Bay. My parents will be next door at their house (Island Dreams) and I am thinking FREE BABYSITTER! :D

Island Dreams and Pink Horses are located just up the hill behind Island Blues. You go down into Coral Bay, turn right at the playing fields towards the Domino gas station, go over the "Clam Dip" and just past the road that goes to the Love City Mini Mart is another road. You would turn right , go up the hill about 1/2 mile, then turn right again.

Very quiet part of the island and the views are amazing! My parents got home on Monday night after being down 2 weeks and only made it to the beach once. They love hanging by the pool.

Sorry I rambled....Elisa

Thanks PSUWethr. We stayed up that road before, only much higher - past where the pavement ends. We'll have to keep your parents' villa in mind.

Keep warm here in PA!
