Any opinions on Morgans Point villa??

Post by cypressgirl »

Yes, another villa question..............

I'm planning a trip in June with my daughter and hopefully a few girlfriends. I was surprised to see how many villas are already booked for June, but this one seems to fit our needs: great view, not too far from town, ac, pool, hot tub, 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, and very reasonable. It's so reasonable that I'm wondering why. Does anyone have any experience with this villa? I did read the positive review on this site. If you have any other suggestions I'd appreciate it.

Back in my on island days I lived in the downstairs apt, which is now the 4th bedroom.
At the time I managed the property as well, so my comments may be a bit biased, but here goes.

I love this house. I wanted to stay at this house several times, but Chip wants to stay in a house that I have not been to.

It is not ultra luxurious but it is clean and neat and has a killer view. The kitchen is in great shape, but it is a bit small and dated. The living room is nicely sized but the covered patio is the best part of the house to me. It is big and has such a nice view.
The hot tub is right off the house and private. The pool was not installed when I lived there, but it is a drop in Wally pool. I have no issues with these, although some people here have said they don’t care for them. I never understood it, a pool is a pool.

The neighborhood is great and if you like to walk, it is the perfect neighborhood for it.

The owner and his family are great people and they love their home so it is well taken car of, they just never say the need to have every little high end amenity.

I would rent it in a heartbeat.

We are staying at Morgan Point in May. The review that 2Feathers wrote dated 6/10/08 under the villa reviews section was very helpful, so I sent a PM to 2Feathers with questions. 2Feathers very graciously answered by questions with detail. I was convinced to rent! You may want to PM 2Feathers.

I've stayed at Nautilus and really loved the house for the price. The cliffside setting is really cool. My kids loved the iguanas (and there are many!)

I've also stayed next door to Morgan Point and the location and views are great.

The neighborhood is really nice and great for walking.

You have two good choices there and I don't think you'd go wrong with either. Happy planning!

I actually just stayed at Morgan Point back in October for two weeks. My husband and I loved this villa. the views are amazing. the front porch is great. We ate every meal out there. the pool is great too. let me know if you have any specific questions. I'd be happy to answer them for you. also the master bedroom is really cool. great views right from the bed and the shower in the master bath is really neat.
