Gromit - glad you found that song! I love that song, but it came out in late 2006 (it's not new). You should check out the video. I can't remember where I saw the full video (may have been his webiste but pretty sure you can find it on youtube). That is a good album.

I love that song! It's about a bar (really called the Flora Bama) that was on the Florida/Alabama border that everyone from here used to stop at on there way to Florida. It got detroyed during one of the hurricanes, but I think they have rebuilt it.

Another one of his more recent songs I really like on that same album is Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On (talk about having meaning for me).

OK so I guess I'm a little behind the power curve when it comes to my Buffett

Good song. I've got Bama roots that run deep so I guess it connected ...

Hey Gromit - I was glad for the link cuz I hadn't listened to that one in a while. Been listening to his Live in Anquilla more lately.

One of the songs I like that he sings on several cds is Uncle John's Band. I like his version of it alot. He first had it on his Fruitcakes cd and has put it on a few of the live ones too.

Cool that you have Bama roots!!!

In my opinion...one of his worst songs ever.

As we sing it at our house:

At the Bama Breeze
You can say Bama Breeze
Nothing rhymes with Bama Breeze
So I'll just say Bama Breeze

Won't stop me from wanting to visit the rebuilt Florabama though
