New Year's Eve Frenchmans Reef

Post by mrscaptainjay »

Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone has gone to the New Year's eve party at Marriott Frenchman Reef. We're still trying to figure out what to do for New Year's Eve on STT.

Jost is not an option this year, Yacht Haven is a possibility, but was just curious about Frenchman Reef. Or any other suggestions you have will be appreciated.

Thanks
Deb

Havana Blue - http://www.havanabluerestaurant.com/ ----- at the Marriott is doing 2 seatings -- early 6:30 ish is multi course dinner....later (8:30 ish) is multi course dinner, music,etc..... since we are staying here at the Marriott Morningstar, leave on 1/1 and don't really want to do taxis on NYE...we will do the early dinner......

let me know if you will be here!
:-)

Don't know what else is going on upstairs at the Reef.....

I heard back from Frenchmans Reef today. Their deal is $45 per person for open bar, party favors, champagn toast at midnight and band. Dinner is $80 per person at the restaurant or $70 per person by the pool. Party is first come, first serve. Dinner is by reservation. Has anyone done this before? Is it worth the money? Dinner for 2 and the party would be $230.

Deb, I've never been there for New Year's but when we stayed at Frenchman's Reef in 2005, the company hosting us put on a dinner by the pool and it was heavenly! If you go for the dinner, I'd definitely choose by the pool.

Deb - In the paper Daily News the other day Frenchmans Reef had a special for New Years at 399 for dinner, the party, a room overnite and breakfast -- that could be fun.
