I keep reading in this forum that a person named Rachel is the one to call for transportation issues, but no one has mentioned how she can be reached. Is this something that can be mentioned on the forum, or would that be considered a breach of the rules? I would be interested in finding out what she charges and what her services are in case we can use her.

Thanks much! I think she might be a much better answer to our transportation issues than the other ones my little family group has been discussing.

When we arrived,we went to a resort on the north shore of St Thomas, on the way to Red Hook. We spent the night there before heading to the ferry.
However, when we returned, we paid $15 per person plus $2 per large bag for the taxi from Red Hook to the airport. I would assume the fare would be the same going and coming.
Hope this helps.

Oh my gosh! We LOVED Rachel! She was there holding a sign with our name on it when we arrived and took us to the ferry for 20$ a person. But on the way to the ferry - she gave us a mini-tour of St Thomas- stopping along the way to shout hello to people she knew....and she seems to know everyone! She is such a cheerful upbeat soul. She met us at the ferry and took us back to the airport- but this time took us on another little jaunt through a different part of St Thomas- she wanted to show me avacado trees and knew just the spot to take me to see them.
In just the short time we spent with her, we felt like she was an old friend...I hated to say good bye to her! But we will see her again when we get back to STJ.
