toy drive 2009

Post by djmom »

I was just going to plant the seed with all of the great sales on toys- 75 percent off and such--we might want to keep the St. John kids in mind and go ahead and buy stuff for next year. I didn't do anything this year, mainly out of laziness, lack of planning.

I am thinking my $ is going to go a lot further at 50 percent off or more at some of these great sales.

I am pledging to buy and hold at least $50 of toys for the St. John toy drive for Christmas 2009--any other takers??? (You don't have to specify a dollar amount if you just want to "pledge" to participate)

Here's a pledge..

This year's pics sold it and I am not one that gives to any charity because of widespread greed & corruption.

I can hardly see how this could go wrong. :D

It would be great if the organizers could post a list of most requested/most wanted toys so we can watch for them on sale throughout the year!

Hi everyone

Thanks soooo much for offering to help in next years toy drive :)

After the holidays I plan to visit with Joe (the organizer) and maybe visit some of the schools to try and find out what is needed.

Thanks again to all of the generous people on the forum and to Anthony for allowing us to do this :)

I've already bought several toys at 75% off! I even got a fun keyboard for $10! Now to get it to STJ! LOL! Maybe that can be a carry-on next April. :?
