Airfare from Kansas City..........CHEAP

Post by Pia »

Hi everyone :)

OK, as a former resident of KC, I find the airfare to be close to the highest into STT and usually in the $700 to $800 pp range and rarely a "special" is advertised, but I just thought, as I know there are a few on the forum that fly out of MCI (hi Nic :) ), that I would let you know I am finding fares on AA for as little as $400 pp roundtrip :D

I just booked a trip to KC in March (I only checked dates in March) for $400.13 all taxes included :)

Check it out if you are thinking of coming anytime in the early part of 2009 :)

Oh no! Jason and I just had the discussion that we would likely be skipping St. John in 2009 and now you post this! :D I'm never one to pass up a bargain! I suppose I'll go see what I can find! 400.00 out of KC would almost seem like it was free!!

To top it off, this is exactly the time of year we are always booking flights for our spring trip so it's especially hard to pass it up!

Thanks!

Arggh! We just bought tickets out of KC in June for 750.00 each. Have never gone to STT for less than 550. Pia, didn't realize you were from here. We've been from this area all our lives.

Hi deejayjay

Well, I was born in England, lived a short time in Hawaii and Florida but most of my life in the US was spent in Kansas City (16+ years) :)

What part of KC are you from - my business was in Mission and had lived in OP, Spring Hill and the Plaza before moving to STJ 3 years ago - small world isn't it :)

Did you check your airfare - maybe it has dropped and you can get a credit - or even better, add another trip :)

Hi to you Pia. Hubby and I were both born and raised in Independence. We have lived in Johnson county between Olathe and Spring Hill since 1990. My son and his wife lived in Mission from 01-04. My daughter was a cop in Merriam, until last year when she had to move with her airforce Hubby. Sounds like we have practically been neighbors. I'll have to double check on those airfares.

Well . . . I just checked ticket prices for our flight, and they have gone up by 600.00 each. But it was worth a try

I stay in Independence (with my MIL) everytime I go to KC which seems to be quite alot recently :)

All of Les' family are in Independence or Blue Springs and they all went to Truman - maybe you were classmates - he graduated in 1974 :)

OK, the world gets smaller. All of both of our families still live in Independence. Hubby and I both graduated from Truman in 75.
