BVI's day trip

Post by traveler22 »

Just booked a day with Ocean Runner and requested Capt. Tommy as many of you have suggested. Now we need to plan the trip. We did Jost last year and saw Foxy's, Foxy's Taboo, Soggy Dollar and Ivan's plus Sandy Spit. Now we need a new plan, What are your favorites and WHY :?: we are not into alot of shopping and only 1 snorkel stop max., we like out of the way spots. THANKS

The Indians, The Willy T, The Caves, Cooper Is. Beach Club, The Rhone, Peter Island YC, The Baths, Saba Rock, Bitter End, Marina Cay,Guana Is. ...... all kinds of other places instead of JVD -- tell Tommy your thoughts and just let him drive - you will not be unhappy-- He will not lead you astray - [actually he might!]

I second the recommendation of the Indians, the Willy T for lunch and snorkeling some other spots around Norman Island and maybe Cooper (but I haven't been there myself). Also Sandy Cay and Sandy Spit are nice stops. Alot depends on the weather and the seas so I'd really let the Captn help you with your agenda.

We're really more about the snorkeling rather than the beach bars on Jost so if that's how you feel too, I'd let the captain know that up front.

Thanks Diana2 & Exit Zero

Exit Zero- If you go to the Baths ( I know it's a longer trip) How many other places can you go time wise? Also which is better for lunch on Noman island, Willy T's or Pirates Bight?

Thanks, Scott

Our favorite snorkel spot (done two times in a row with Ocean Runner's Tony) is Congo. It is absolutely gorgeous. The Indians were beautiful too. We were not impressed at all with the Caves and wouldn't do that snorkel again.

One thing I have wanted to do was actually snorkel St. John where you can't go by foot or car.

I can also say that the snorkeling off of Virgin Gorda by the Baths was VERY good.
