Brenda's Trip Report Day 2 and 3

Post by brenda »

I tell ya, we were pretty boring these first couple of days. The more we go, the less rushed we feel to do things, I guess.

Next day, we slept in a little, then went to pick up our rental. We got a Suzuki SX4. We really liked that vehicle. It was roomy with front and back seats and a good sized area in the back to store our beach gear. It was also really good on the switchbacks. In the past we have had Jeep Wranglers and the old Vitara. I'll think we will stick with this next time. We rented from Cool Breeze. For anyone interested, their rate included the insurance and was $62 per day.

Only bummer was, the gave a vehicle on Empty. We headed over to E&C and they were closed. Hmmmmmmm. Back to Cool Breeze and they gave us another vehicle with 1/2 tank.

By now it is lunchtime and our stomachs are growling. Off we went to Skinny Leg's We love their burgers and the atmosphere. It's one of our favorite casual stops.

Finally a little beach time, so we headed to Maho, one of our favorite beaches and soaked up the sun. It is sure feeling good to be back on the beach. Gary followed a ray around for a while here.

Tine to go get some provisions. We went to Starfish Market and Starfish Gourmet. I could really drop some money at the Gourmet Market. I'm like a kid in a candy shop there.

This day went by really quick but now we are ready for the week. We got take out from Cafe Roma and chilled on the balcony looking at the stars. We did this a lot. I forgot how amazingly clear the sky is there.

Day 3

Got up and headed to Hawksnest. Guess what? Another STJMike sighting. We stayed here for a while, then Mike joined us and we went to Cinnamon.

We headed back on the earlier side and grabbed a bite at Woody's. After that, we went to The Beach Bar Gathering. We met DCphoto, (Mel and Sandy), Mike from Va, onthelake (Pam and John), Mark and wife Marie, stjmike and Captain Brandi. It was fun meeting new people. I already posted those pics on another thread.

After The BB, we went to dinner at Rhumblines with Mel and Sandy and stjmike. This place is now on my must go to. We all had great food and I love the Pu-Pu Platter. Great atmosphere too.

I only wish the rest of me was as "skinny" as my legs  . I remember on our boat day Michelle telling me that I needed to work out and beef up my legs  .
