Brenda's Trip Report Part 1

Post by brenda »

It's about time I write this. It seems I didn't take many pics some days and others a ton. I'll try to sprinkle some in.

Day 1

Uneventful trip down. Our flights were even early. We had planned on taking the 6pm ferry from RH, but our taxi driver hauled a$$ and got us to the 5pm. It was pretty much exactly 5pm and they hadn't left yet. Bonus for us! We breezed through check in at Gallow's Point and soon were happily settling into our home away from home. Our unit had a fresh coat of paint (11C) and some new pictures. GP also had new towels, bed linens, and new smaller, easier to transport beach chairs.

Gallow's Point kitty named mask. He belongs to the owner of Everyting, but lives at GP. He is 14 years young.

We decided on Cafe Roma for dinner. We met the new owner, John Hebert. He is a really nice guy and reminds me a little bit of a thin John Candy. I am pleased to report that Cafe Roma is even better now. They served a delicious tampanade with plain and cheese bread. I don't remember them having that before but we did alot of take out from there. Both of our meals were excellent (Lasagna with meat sauce and Spaghetti with Italian Sausage). We then had some drinks and chatted with John, the owner and the bartender Tyler. John sent us a complimentary piece of cheesecake with mango sauce. Very yummy and I'm not one to be into sweet treats. We ran into STJMike in town, said hi, and called it a night. We are always wiped out the first day.
Going "home" again October 26th!
