PhotoShopping Underwater Pics
PhotoShopping Underwater Pics
HI,
Before my UW camera died last month, I got a bunch of turtle and other UW pics. I've tried a few PhotoShop techniques (found one where you add a couple of adjustment layers), but haven't been happy with the results.
If anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear them and will be sure to post the results.
thanks,

Picasa is a free photo mgnt/edit program download from Google. Their auto adjust in the edit feature is called "I'm Feeling Lucky" and it works wonders on UW pix. The "Warmify" button under the Effects tab also helps restore reds and knocks down the blues.

I agree JMQ...I started using Picasa on my pics from our July 08 trip...Great results! Beats spending $150 on Photoshop (although Photoshop probably yields better results, no?).jmq wrote:Picasa is a free photo mgnt/edit program download from Google. Don't know. Even if it did do UW correction better, $$$ better? Of course, photoshop can do MANY other things that Picasa cannot.
Should be mentioned the one Picasa feature I use most is the easy to use "Straighten" function. Horizons out of level is a pet peeve of mine and tough to take pics with a point n shoot (non-SLR) that AREN'T out of level.
